Making Architectural Ideas
Clear for Clients
Connecting architectural understanding with graphic design to help clients read and discuss complex spatial ideas.
Nafas House
A spatial idea,
made legible.
The challenge
Give clients a clear way into a complex proposal.
Architectural drawings and views communicate a lot at once. Client-facing material needs to explain the spatial idea, establish a readable hierarchy and make the proposal understandable beyond the design team.
My contribution
Read the architecture. Shape the explanation.
I interpreted complicated architectural plans and views, then used graphic design to simplify them into understandable visuals and presentations. My role combined architectural participation with graphic and presentation development.
For Nafas House, I contributed within a collaborative studio team. Soroush Tondari produced the final renders shown here.
The process
Spatial understanding becomes visual communication.
- 01
Understand the proposal
Read plans and views to understand the relationships between space, movement and the architectural concept.
- 02
Create information hierarchy
Organise the explanation around the main spatial idea, using graphic simplification to make relationships easier to read.
- 03
Prepare client communication
Bring the drawings, views and explanatory material into client-facing visuals and presentation layouts.
Nafas House
Collaborative projectA residential proposal within an old garden near Saveh. Existing trees informed the spatial idea, with an evergreen tree anchoring an internal courtyard.
